Mission Statement of the Valley View Elementary School Counseling Program:

The mission of the Valley View Elementary School comprehensive school counseling program is to support VVSD in the development and implementation of an appropriate and equitable guidance curriculum which helps promote and fulfill each child’s academic, career, and social/emotional growth. This, supplemented with Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for identified students, will give each student at Valley View Elementary the knowledge and tools to navigate through life in and out of school in order to become a responsible citizen and benefit our greater society.

Vision Statement of the Valley View Elementary School Counseling Program:

The vision of the Valley View Elementary School comprehensive school counseling program interweaves character education into every aspect of learning. Students will become active participants in the choices and expectations they have for their own lives, enhancing the intrinsic motivation to become the best they can, while eliminating barriers that may exist in home or school systems. These foundational skills will aide in the development of students who can become lifelong problem solvers and positive members to our greater society, graduating college and career ready.
