We are continuing reading of leveled books, spelling words, and practicing sight words.  The next sight words are: RUN, AWAY and THREE.

We are continuing reading of leveled books, spelling words, and practicing sight words.  The next sight words are: FUNNY, JUMP and AWAY.

February 17th

We will be learning the sight words OF and WANT.  We will continue to blend, spell, and decode 2, 3, and some  4 letter words like: ox, get, and pack.

February 10th

Our next sight words will be HAVE and WANT.  We are reviewing all vowels, as well as identifying story elements.

February 3rd

Our next sight words will be WANT, UP, and DOWN.  We are blending 2 and 3 letter words, like dot, sit, and if, as well as identifying story elements.

January 27th

Our next sight words will be WAS, COME, and HELP.  We are reviewing all vowels, and blending CVC words like bun, gum, pot, etc.

January 20th

Our next sight words will be LITTLE and SHE.  We are reviewing all vowels, and blending 2 and 3 letter words.

January 13th

We will continue to blend three letter words like MIT and FED.  Please review all sight words.  We will begin Unit 3, and send home the new list of sight words.

January 6th

We will continue to blend three letter words like him and fox, and review all sight words taught. 

December 30th

We will continue to blend three letter words like MAT and SIT, as well as learn the sight words:  ARE, WITH, and HE.


December 16

We are learning the sight word ONE, TWO,NOT.  We will also review the letters and sounds of /Qu/, /Zz/ and rhyming.  We will also blend words with the letters introduced, like men, yak, sip, dot, van, and hum.

November 18th

We have taught all 26 letters and sounds; the children will be checked this week.  The next sight words; NOT and DO

November 11th

We are learning the sight words MY, SAID, and IN. We will also review the letter and sounds of /Ww/and /Vv/, and introduce Xx and Yy. We will also blend words with the letters introduced, like wag and van.

November 4th

We will read simple sentences with the sight words taught.  We will also blend letters taught to read words like: Sam, mat, pig, dog, etc.  We will introduce the letters and sounds of /Vv/ and /Ww/.  The new sight words are MY, SAID, ONE, and TWO.

October 28th

We will focus on the letter and sound of /Pp/ and /Jj/.  We will read simple sentences with the sight words taught.  We will also blend letters taught to read words like: top, pit, tan, sat, sit, etc. 

October 21st

We will focus on the letter and sounds of Rr, Pp, and Jj.  We will read simple sentences with the sight words taught.  We will also blend letters taught to read words like: top, pit, tan, sat, sit, etc. 

October 14th

We will learn the sight words, a,so and like, and the letter sounds of Dd, Ss, Ee, and Rr.

October 7th

We are learning the sight words, SEE and BLUE, and the letter sounds of D and S.
